  • 7th Annual Cattleman’s Ball Honoring Gail “Big Boy” Hester

    Cattleman's Ball 2018 Save the date! October 20, 2018 will be our 7th annual Cattleman's Ball. Each year The Williamson Museum honors someone who has transformed the county at our annual fundraiser, which benefits the museum's educational programs. This year's honoree is Gail "Big Boy" Hester. The event includes dinner, wine and beer and dancing. It feature live and silent auctions as well as raffles and poker with your favorite saloon girls. The gala runs from 7 - 10 pm, at the Sheraton Georgetown. Tickets are $100 per person and tables of 8 are $1000. Purchase below! Tickets Tables

  • Free Courthouse Tours

    Meet at the Museum and get set up with some of our wonderful tour guides and take a trip back in time as you tour our historic County Courthouse. Tours start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible. Please call ahead if you have a party of 7 or more, or to schedule a private tour 512-943-1670. School group tours are offered by appointment, please see information on our Educational Programming page. 

  • Ghosts of the Georgetown Square

    Join us as we tell the stories of the ghosts who have haunted local places for more than a hundred years. The costumed docent-led tours leave the museum at 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. Scary tours with heightened stories, imagery, and interactive Ghost Hunting leave at 9:00 pm. Tickets are $20 per person; $15 for members and students. Buy your ticket early, as space is limited.   • Victorian Mourning Customs

    During the month of October, The Williamson Museum on the Chisholm Trail will be observing various Victorian Mourning Customs.

  • Free Courthouse Tours

    Meet at the Museum and get set up with some of our wonderful tour guides and take a trip back in time as you tour our historic County Courthouse. Tours start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible.   • First Friday

    Stop by for light bites at this month's First Friday! The museum will be open from 6pm to 8pm and unveil our new artifact of the month and latest art exhibit.

  • Honoring Our Veterans

    Honor our veterans during the month of November at The Williamson Museum on The Chisholm Trail. Children's activities on a come and go basis, 10am-3pm, free.
