  • Free Courthouse Tours

    Meet at the Museum and get set up with some of our wonderful tour guides and take a trip back in time as you tour our historic County Courthouse. Tours start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible. Please call ahead if you have a party of 7 or more, or to schedule a private tour 512-943-1670. School group tours are offered by appointment, please see information on our Educational Programming page. 

  • Gault Site Tour

    The Williamson Museum and The Gault School of Archaeological Research are hosting together special tours to Gault. The proceeds will support The Gault School of Archaeological Research and The Williamson Museum.
    Tours begin at 9 AM and last about 2 1/2 hours. Tour price is $10, children 10 and under are free. To purchase tickets, call 512-943-1670 or stop by the museum.  If you have any questions, please email nhewitt@williamsonmuseum.org.
  • Honoring Our Veterans

    Honor our veterans during the month of November at The Williamson Museum on The Chisholm Trail. Children's activities on a come and go basis, 10am-3pm, free.

  • Though Poppies Grow Cemetery Tour

    Join us at International Order of the Odd Fellows Cemetery for a self-guided tour with living history characters honoring local veterans, 4 pm – 6 pm on Saturday, November 10. Tickets are $10, $8 for Museum members, purchase by calling 512-943-1670, stop by the museum, or online. Tickets are also available at the gate the day of the tour.

  • Salon: November 14

    Topic: WWI- Aftermath Speaker: Gerald Faulkner Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 6:30 PM The Williamson Museum 716 S. Austin Avenue, Georgetown, TX 78626 Note: SEATING IS LIMITED! The Salon is an event where anyone can participate in topical discussions with leaders in the fields of science, history, art, archaeology and technology, among other topics.  These monthly talks are typically held in the banquet room of Wildfire Restaurant and promote discussion of diverse topics in an informal community setting. However, this month's meeting will be held at The Williamson Museum.
    Admission is free for the presentation. The views and opinions expressed by the Salon speakers are those of the speaker and do not necessarily reflect the policy, position or views of the Williamson Museum, its board, employees or affiliate.
