SUMMARY:Artist of the Month: Closed for Restoration
DESCRIPTION:Artist of the Month: Steph Granillo \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Steph Granillo is an Austin-based textile artist and teacher. Since 2018 she has specialized in creating improvisational quilts using household linens and discarded textiles. Her work celebrates the joy and beauty that can be found in unexpected and overlooked places. Steph transforms forgotten textiles into dynamic\, colorful compositions\, using discarded clothing and household linens that would otherwise be destined for the landfill. This process not only promotes sustainability but also honors the silent stories woven into these fabrics. Come out and join us for her artist reception on August 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.
