Through hands-on activities and behind-the-lens experiments\, campers will uncover how hometown newspapers\, radio pioneers\, early TV studios\, and even textile-based communication shaped our community’s stories. From creating their own film scripts and designing bold headlines to experimenting with textile media such as printed fabrics\, and pattern-based storytelling\, participants will experience the many ways people have shared information across time. This dynamic\, creativity-sparking camp offers curious kids a fresh\, interactive path into both media history and the art of communication. \nThis camp is open for students entering 3rd-6th grade. \nCamp is 9:00am – 3:00pm. Aftercare is available from 8am-5pm for $80. Cost: $150 per week non-museum members; $120 per week for museum members. \n*Discounted rates for current members at $50 Family membership or above. Scholarships available for first time campers. \nRefund Policy: Full Refunds are available until June 12\, 2026. After that date it will be a 75% refund with a $50 administration fee per registration for processing refunds.
