SUMMARY:Artist of the Month: Marcus Delzell\, "Psychographia"
DESCRIPTION:Marcus Delzell is a painter\, sculptor\, and dramatist whose work investigates themes of identity and the unseen psychological forces that shape human experience. Based in Austin\, Texas\, Delzell’s artwork is distinguished by a provocative visual language that illuminates the concealed dimensions of the human psyche and the masks worn to navigate them. \nAt the core of Delzell’s practice is the Metaplanetic Observation Method—a conceptual framework he developed to transform wandering thought into visual structure through focused cognitive exploration and reflective observation. In this process\, Delzell operates as both magician and scientist\, conjuring meaning while dissecting perception. \nPsychographia presents a collection of paintings and drawings by Marcus Delzell\, each piece created using the artist’s original Metaplanetic Observation Method. This structured creative practice employs iterative cycles of spontaneous mental exploration (the Greek “Plané\,” meaning wandering)\, which are filtered through intentional observation to refine abstract ideas into visual narratives. \nThis exhibition displays the artist’s internal dialogue between free-flowing imagination and discernment. Delzell’s work invites us to experience the balance between spontaneity and clarity\, to offer a fresh perspective on how we derive meaning from the depths of the psyche.

SUMMARY:Artist of the Month: Mika Geiger\, "The Little Wild"
DESCRIPTION:The Little Wild \nA Closer Look at The Insects We Overlook \nMika Geiger \nInsects are everywhere — underfoot\, in the air\, nestled in petals\, or tucked beneath leaves. Most of the time\, we pass them by without a second thought. Through macro photography\, I try to slow things down and take a closer look at these small creatures living big\, complex lives right alongside us. \nThis exhibit invites you into their world. You’ll meet masters of camouflage\, bugs with armor tough enough to withstand a car\, and tiny pollinators carrying out essential work with every landing. Each photograph offers a chance to learn more about these marvels: how they live\, adapt\, and quietly shape the ecosystems we depend on. Some are beautiful\, some are strange — and all of them have a story to tell. \nMika Geiger is a macro photographer based in Austin\, Texas\, who specializes in capturing the often-overlooked world of insects. Her work highlights the complexity and beauty of tiny creatures in their natural habitats. Through close-up photography and thoughtful storytelling\, Mika encourages viewers to slow down\, look closer\, and appreciate the important roles insects play in our ecosystems.
