Salon at Wildfire welcomes Chris Woolsey, known online as ChrisRestores, for a presentation titled Tricked Into Learning: An Engaging Effort.

Chris combines his passion for Texas history, travel, and storytelling through the restoration of Texas historical markers across the state. What began as a personal interest quickly evolved into a larger mission to preserve and share the stories behind these overlooked pieces of public history.

During this engaging presentation, Chris will discuss his journey from corporate life to content creation, the realities of documenting history online, and the challenges and rewards of building a community around preservation and volunteerism. The evening will also include audience questions covering everything from restoration projects and Texas history to social media and content creation.
