
The Gault site is one of the largest identified Clovis sites with deposits preceding Clovis as well. More than 2 million artifacts have been recovered from the site. Tours begin at 10am from the Gault Site. Maps and Information will be emailed after your purchase
Tours are $20 per person for adults over 13, $10 per person for children 8-13, and free for children under 8.
Tours are hosted by the Gault School of Archaeological Research and coordinated by Williamson Museum staff.
Tours are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. They are subject to change due to holidays or other external events.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Tours are hosted by Gault School of Archaeological Research and start at 10 AM at the Gault Site. You will receive an email when you first register, and a second email the week of the tour. The second email will contain driving directions.
- Tour attendees should expect the tour to take anywhere from 2-3 hours. It is approximately 1.5 miles over relatively rough terrain.
- Non-regular tours and large groups are coordinated through the Gault School of Archaeology. You can reach out to [email protected] with any questions or visit their website at https://www.gaultschool.org/.
- Most tours will happen rain or shine. But, in the event that weather is exceedingly bad, we will alert all visitors ASAP. We will offer the chance to reschedule your tour or a refund if we are to cancel a regularly scheduled tour.
