There are over 200 cemeteries in Williamson County, the earliest of which date back to the 1830s. Many are small family cemeteries on private property. Some are lost to time. However, thanks to the work of the Williamson County Historical Commission, we can still learn from many of our earliest burial sites.
From 1973-1988 the Williamson County Historical Commission compiled three volumes of historic cemetery lists. These volumes have over 1,000 pages of maps, cemetery histories, burials, and surname indices, and are now searchable online. Adobe Acrobat is required.
