In September 1923, a trial began in Williamson County’s 26th District Courtroom. That case, presided over by Judge James R. Hamilton and prosecuted by Dan Moody, pitted the rule of law against the vigilantism of the Klu Klux Klan, and became a watershed event for the fall of the “Invisible Empire.”
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of that case, the Williamson Museum has invited Emily Treadway, writer and producer for the Daytripper, to take us behind the scenes of the documentary film “Klan on Trial.” Join us to hear a story for the centuries at the Salon! We will also be showing the documentary after the salon. This event is free.
